This style of ball joint seperator has been used for decades in workshops around the world. They are not the best way to split a ball joint, but the least expensive. Made in England specifically for small cars. Also makes a handy pry bar! It would pay to have a few spare ball joint boots on hand (BTA377). Laser brand 0283, alternative SKU is 19907-0001

Note: Once your top or bottom ball joint is undone, place the splitter tool between the arm and the ball joint then hit the end of the tool with a hammer it should loosen the ball joint from the top/bottom arm.
