HKS x TONE Tool Set – Toyota GR Supra

The GR Supra is built by BMW, and working on one calls for tools most Japanese workshops don’t keep to hand. HKS have assembled 27 tools with TONE covering the jobs light tuning demands, combining general purpose items with three tools made specifically for the car. The general purpose tools are drawn from TONE’s existing range; the dedicated tools are new production.

The case measures 400 x 209mm and stows behind the seat.

Dedicated Tools

Jack pad (JAP01)
The Supra’s standard jack point is easy to damage and sits unstably against a concave or flat rubber pad. This resin square pad fits the standard jack point when lifting the car.

Dummy bolt (WHSST01)
Where most Japanese cars locate their wheels on studs and nuts, the Supra uses bolts, so the wheel drops away once the last bolt is out. Fitting dummy bolts temporarily holds the wheel in place while the others are removed.

Knuckle spreader (KNSP01)
The front suspension is a strut type with lower insertion, a setup rare on Japanese cars. The knuckle clamps the shock absorber tightly, so removing the bolt alone won’t free it. Setting the rectangular spreader into the gap behind the knuckle, short side inward, and rotating it 90 degrees with a ring spanner widens the gap enough to draw the damper out.
