• These Japanese tapered whetstones are designed to sharpen implements from gouging tools to carving knives. They accommodate rounded blades of various size &surface area. Both sides of the whetstone can use, enable both the inner &outer surfaces of the blade to be sharpened.

  Use these grinders in the following order: Coarse Whetstone (#280), Medium Whetstone (#1000), Super Fine Finishing Whetstone (#4000). If there is no blade chipping or blade spilling, medium to finer finishing alone is sufficient.

  Just sprinkle water before using to achieve a smooth surface. While the qualities of slicked-stone sharpening have been improved, the waterstone’s resistance to wear is greater than before. Made in Japan.
